Fielding's Wood Grill
What I love about Fielding's is that they constantly try new trends & innovate their menu! They have featured menu items and often change their menu based on the season/upcoming holidays. You can count on their tried and true items always being available when you need some comfort food - such as burgers, english breakfast, steak, etc. & have your tastebuds blown away when they add something new - such as lemon coffee cake or Cajun boudin balls. Their brunch menu is absolute fire & I'm a wh*re for their mimosa flights.
I highly recommend Fielding's for: Brunch!
Tommy Bahama
The best thing about the Tommy Bahama restaurant is that you feel like you've been transported from the suburbs of Houston to a tropical restaurant in the middle of the Virgin Islands. I guess that's what they are going for & they totally nailed it! Their cocktails are amazing, the ambiance is perfect for a weekend lunch/dinner, and they have live music Monday (4-8pm), Tuesday-Saturday (5-9pm) and Sunday (1-5pm). Not to mention you can shop for your dad's next birthday gift post-lunch in their expansive store.
I highly recommend Tommy Bahama for: Cocktails & feeling like you're on vacay!
Hearsay On The Waterway
The Hearsay in downtown Houston is a very romantic restaurant with chandeliers galore - so I was quite excited to see that ambiance makes it way to the waterway! Hearsay's cocktails are delightful & Instagram worthy. They have multiple Vegetarian options and a diverse lunch/dinner menu. Their Texas Charcuterie Board is a must for a large group (The grande is only $24!). If you want to try Hearsay in a more casual setting, they often have a food truck certain nights of the week at Kirby's (Woodlands location!).
I highly recommend Hearsay for: Sultry date night!
Flower Child
The name "Flower Child" kinda says it all for this bright, healthy eatery! A perfect ladies brunch spot, the "I just worked out and want to place an order to-go" spot, or for working on your laptop for a healthy lunch spot! For The Woodlands, Flower Child is an affordable healthy restaurant option compared to other places around town. I love their crushed avocado toast & their wraps. If you're wanting to feed a group of 4-6, their $59 bundle option is a yummy + cost-efficient choice! They also have wine, sangria, kombucha, & teas as refreshing drink options.
I highly recommend Flower Child for: A healthy, lighter lunch!
The Olive Oil Restaurant
Hands down one of my favorite Greek spots not only in The Woodlands but the entire Greater Houston area! Their dishes are super authentic & made with love (this is a family-owned restaurant!). Their lunch menu is affordable but I have to recommend The Olive Oil Restaurant for dinner - Fridays & Saturdays in particular because they have live entertainment (Think music, dancing, & belly dancers!). Reservations highly encouraged - this spot gets busy!
I highly recommend The Olive Oil for: Dinner with friends!
The Kitchen
The Kitchen is an off-the-beaten-path spot in The Woodlands and perfect for lunch! I highly recommend their drink selection as they have a wide range of beers/wines available for purchase (& to take home!). Their bakery is mouth-watering and the food is extremely fresh. I enjoyed The Kitchen for a light lunch with a friend before hitting up The Woodlands Mall for a day of shopping. It's the perfect ambiance for a nice lunch (& maybe a glass or two of wine!).
I highly recommend The Kitchen for: Boozy lunch!
Cru
Cru is known for being a wine bar with some amazing pizza options. However, I love Cru for their goat cheese beignets & wagyu meatballs! Their wine selection is quite impressive and the chocolate fondue for two is a great way to wrap up your ending with dessert & a nice port. Located in The Woodlands Market Street, Cru is the perfect spot to people watch & unwind after listening to live music or attending an event at the pavilion.
I highly recommend Cru for: Wine & pizza
State Fare
Located on Hughes Landing, State Fare is a relatively new addition to The Woodlands. The interior is incredibly nice & makes you feel like you're at an extremely upscale diner (Given their Southern plates & colorful drinks). Their sides are amazing & their twist on beloved Southern dishes makes it a foodie's dream comfort food spot. The "Birria" Grilled Cheese & Pork Belly Burger are super delicious!
I highly recommend State Fare for: Upscale Southern Cuisine
Landry's
Landry's is a well-known seafood restaurant - however, I love this spot in The Woodlands because the patio overlooks part of the waterway and trolley bridges. It's honestly the perfect spot to watch a sunset and unwind with a Riesling while sharing a shrimp cocktail & oysters on the half shell! They have an expansive gluten free menu and a wide range of cocktails, wine, & beer. The service is quick & accommodating as well!
I highly recommend Landry's for: Gluten-free options with beautiful views
Sakekawa Japanese Steak House & Sushi Bar
One of my favorite sushi spots! Sakekawa is a gem of a spot for Japanese fare and sushi! They have an expansive menu and their cocktails are amazing. You can also request a hibachi table where a chef will cook your meal right in front of your eyes - making this a fun spot for parties or groups! They have soy paper options for those who prefer vegan/vegetarian style sushi which is a huge plus in my book. I totally recommend this find off Technology Forest!
I highly recommend Sakekawa for: Sushi!
