St. Patrick's Day Happy Hour Zoom Party - Make Some Friends & Learn Gaelic!

St. Patrick's Day is one of my favorite holidays. Not because I'm Irish or anything like that but because I used to live in Chicago and we would wake up at 7am to drink beer, watch the river get dyed with 50,000 strangers, and then proceed to destroy our livers with green beer and Irish car bomb shots until I couldn't even walk home. Oh to live in a pre-COVID world

Anyways, unless someone wants to dye the creek near my house green and vaccinate all of Houston in the next few days it's kinda looking like a Zoom party is the closest I will get to that kind of celebration 🤷🏼‍♀️

Happy hour on Zoom is super fun and so is making some new pals. However, I know that a lot of us are looking for a little more out of our laptop screens these days. I'm in my second year of learning Irish (It's not actually "Gaelic" because "Gaelic" is a culture but it takes too long to explain that to most people I meet and most people - like my parents - just seem super confused that someone would be learning "Irish" so I'll just call it "Gaelic" to make this easier.) Anyways, I would LOVE to teach you guys a few introductions, quotes, and fun sayings that I've learned thus far. Not only will y'all be helping me use my newfound language skills, but I think it will be a unique, fun way to celebrate St. Patrick's Day 2021 virtually!

Bring your beer (or whatever alcohol, I don't think the Irish judge) and a pen so you can record all of your favorite Gaelic words. I will be sending out a fun language sheet following the Zoom as well! :) Zoom link will be emailed to ticket holders a few minutes prior to the event starting. Make sure to check your spam folders! Please note, if you RSVP last minute there is a chance that I will not be able to send you the Zoom link, so make sure to RSVP sooner than later!
